About Us
The Sport & Discrimination Network is an international community of researchers, practitioners, and campaigners committed to understanding and challenging inequality in sport.
Founded in response to the absence of a dedicated platform for research in this area, the network began as a small conference bringing together those working on issues of discrimination across sporting contexts. Since then, it has grown into a recognised and collaborative space for dialogue, connection, and knowledge exchange.
Today, the network extends beyond the conference itself. Through annual events, mentoring initiatives, and ongoing collaboration, it supports individuals at all career stages and fosters a global community united by a shared commitment to addressing inequality in sport.
